Basin Park Hotel Spirit Experience
Eureka Springs, AR
That evening, I removed the ring from my finger and placed it on the nightstand along with my watch, glasses and loose change, then went to sleep. The next morning the ring was nowhere to be found. After searching everywhere around the bed and sifting through the luggage items I gave up, raised my arms into the air and said aloud, “When you finish playing with the ring, please return it to me.” Somehow I had a feeling it was a female spirit; a child. The Basin Park Hotel paranormal investigation has been rescheduled for Sunday, February 9th, 2014. This event is part of the Eureka Springs Paranormal Weekend that took place in the beginning of January. The Basin Park Hotel investigation was canceled and rescheduled due to inclement weather.

LITTLE ROCK, AR — Perhaps the most popular haunted Arkansas destination is the legendary Crescent Hotel, constructed in 1886. The long history of the hotel is represented through the ghosts that still inhabit its halls and walls. Not only do tourists learn about secret underground passages, they also receive a special treat of visiting the basement room that was once the morgue. It still contains an old autopsy table. That room was part of perhaps the strangest chapter in the Crescent’s history from 1937-39, when Norman Baker of Iowa bought the hotel and converted it into his third cancer facility, naming it the Baker Hospital of Eureka Springs. Pam and I had several experiences there while on tour.
My first encounter with a ghost occurred in orientation. Sitting in the middle of my Mom and girlfriend. I distinctly remember two quick tugging pulls on my ear lobe. To the effect that I asked my Mom on that side if she tugged my ear. She said no; it was apparent she was listening to the guide. I turned to my girlfriend on the other side and asked her if she reached around and pull my ear as a joke. She said “Why would I do that?”. I was so perplexed that I turned to the lady behind me and asked her if she pulled my ear. She answered that she was not in the habit of pulling strangers ears. I was not yet sure of what had happened.
It was only later when the guide mentioned a little girl who poked people that I made the connection to something truly strange. For the next few weeks as I stayed at my Mom’s, back in Utah, I would often hear a little girl happily calling Daddy. My feeling as if she was happy I had come back. It was a strange period of time after that I would awake at night and hear a little girls voice calling out to me.
I have had supernatural encounters in the past. This one is one of the most livid.
