The Crescent Hotel’s supernatural activity is known nationwide, but until the late 90s, the building’s history was kept secret. Watch and learn more here.
Pam and I had several experiences there while on tour.
My first encounter with a ghost occurred in orientation. Sitting in the middle of my Mom and girlfriend. I distinctly remember two quick tugging pulls on my ear lobe. To the effect that I asked my Mom on that side if she tugged my ear. She said no; it was apparent she was listening to the guide. I turned to my girlfriend on the other side and asked her if she reached around and pull my ear as a joke. She said “Why would I do that?”. I was so perplexed that I turned to the lady behind me and asked her if she pulled my ear. She answered that she was not in the habit of pulling strangers ears. I was not yet sure of what had happened.
It was only later when the guide mentioned a little girl who poked people that I made the connection to something truly strange. For the next few weeks as I stayed at my Mom’s, back in Utah, I would often hear a little girl happily calling Daddy. My feeling as if she was happy I had come back. It was a strange period of time after that I would awake at night and hear a little girls voice calling out to me.
I have had supernatural encounters in the past. This one is one of the most livid.

Built in 1886, this famous hotel was originally an elite hangout. It later became a women’s college and then a cancer hospital with one of the biggest medical scandals in the U.S. Read More.
This week you sent me to Eureka Springs to check out America’s most haunted hotel, the Crescent Hotel.
What are the most “active” places on the grounds? Who are the ghosts? Who is Dr. Norman Baker? How can you see it all for yourself?
All of these questions are answered in this very unique and very spooky “Where in AR is JR.”

The 1886 Crescent Hotel and Spa has been called one of America’s most haunted hotels. With a rich history and many uses for the building through the years, it’s no wonder it’s a hotbed for spirit activity. Once used as an alternative hospital, the “doctor” running the services had no medical license. There were accidents, suicides and numerous deaths there over the years. Read More.
IN JUNE OF 2012 MY SPOUSE AND I VISITED THE CRESCENT HOTEL AND WAS ESCORTED TO OUR ROOM ON THE FOURTH FLOOR. WE NO SOONER THAN UNPACKED OUR SUITCASES AND TWO RAPS WERE HEARD ON THE DOOR. BRIAN LOOKED THROUGH THE PEEP HOLE AND NO ONE WAS THERE, HE THEN OPENED THE DOOR AND LOOKED UP AND DOWN THE HALL AND AGAIN, NO ONE WAS IN THE HALL. ON THE THIRD NIGHT WE STAYED ON THE SECOND FLOOR. THAT EVENING WE WENT ON THE GHOST TOUR. IN FRONT OF ROOM 218 (WHERE TIMOTHY IS NOTED TO HAUNT) I FELT SOMEONE’S TOUCH START AT MY SHOULDER AND CARESSED MY ARM DOWN TO MY HAND. I FELT THE COLDNESS ON MY RIGHT ARM AND THE HAIRS STOOD UP. I IMMEDIATELY LOOKED TO MY RIGHT AND THERE WAS NOT A “LIVING” SOUL STANDING THERE. I HAD AN OVERWHELMING SADNESS THAT SEEMED TO SWEEP OVER ME. MY K-2 METER LIT UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE. I THEN TOOK SEVERAL PHOTOS AND A BLUE LIGHT WAS EVIDENT FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AFTER OUR STAY I KEPT HEARING A VOICE IN MY EAR SOFTLY STATING, “DO NOT BE AFRAID. I WON’T HURT YOU.” BRIAN TOLD TIMOTHY TO GO AWAY AND HE WAS NOT WELCOMED IN OUR HOME AND ESPECIALLY NOT TO BOTHER ME ANY LONGER. AFTER THAT I WAS NOT BOTHERED BY TIMOTHY AGAIN. ALTHOUGH WE ARE PLANNING A TRIP BACK TO THE CRESCENT THIS SUMMER. SPIRITUALLY, KAT MASON
