Every year, the Eureka Springs Paranormal Weekend draws both believers and skeptics eager to explore the Crescent Hotel’s haunted history. This year’s event was no different—and it gave us a winning photo that has everyone talking. Congratulations to Robert N., whose unexpected capture has added another layer to the hotel’s mystery.
Robert’s photo wasn’t taken in the morgue or on a late-night ghost tour, but in Room 218—better known as Michael’s room, one of the most active spots in the hotel. While investigating with a small group and one of our guides, he took a few casual snapshots of the room, including one of the TV screen. It wasn’t until later that he noticed something unusual staring back at him.
In the photo, a clear, detailed face appeared in the screen’s reflection—one that didn’t match anyone present at the time. Knowing the room’s history, the group was stunned. Robert even returned to the same spot to try and recreate the shot, testing for reflections or other explanations. Nothing matched what he had captured that night.
Was it a trick of the light, a digital glitch, or something we can’t quite explain? For his winning entry, Robert earned a return trip to Eureka Springs in 2025, and the rest of us are left with one more haunting question to add to the Crescent Hotel’s long list of ghost stories.
If you’re ready to search for your own unexplained moment, join us for next year’s Paranormal Weekend. The next unforgettable photo might be yours.
